SUMMARY:Volunteer Chain Saw Safety Course
DESCRIPTION:Free course to all volunteers in the Portage area.  New volunteers are welcome. \n\nJim Olive from Chain Saw Safety Specialists will hold a Class 1 chain saw safety class at the Fairgrounds\, Building #8.  the City of Portage has graciously offered to pay for this training.  ($110 value).   Those who complete the course will be chain saw certified.  This certification is now required for volunteers operating power equipment on City of Portage and Wisconsin DNR controlled lands.  Attendees are asked to provide 5 hours of public service in the Portage Area.
