DESCRIPTION:Historic Indian Agency House to host Broom Maker August 25 \n\nThe Historic Indian Agency House is excited to welcome Little John Holzwart on Tuesday\, August 25 as part of its LIVING History: Making a Living in Historic Craft lecture series. \n\nHolzwart is a historic broom maker\, artist\, gardener and wild forager. He is co-proprietor of Moonwise Herbs and Brooms of Sheboygan. \n\nBroom making demonstrations will begin at noon\, with a presentation at 6 p.m. Hand-crafted brooms will be available for purchase. \n\nThe event is free and open to the public\, and funded in part by the City of Portage. \n\nThe HIAH is owned and operated by the non-profit group The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Wisconsin. The museum and visitor center will be open 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays through October 15. More information is available online at agencyhouse.org\, or by calling (608) 742-6362.
