Executive director\, Brenda Collins (Miss Wisconsin Rapids 2001)\, created this pageant to provide young women with the opportunity to have a voice in promoting their platform\, earn scholarships for higher education\, and promote the Miss America Organization's platform\, "Children's Miracle Network."\n\n\n\nThis year\, the pageant is held on March 17 in Portage and comprises four main competitions: artistic expression\; presentation and community achievement\; presence and poise\; and lifestyle and fitness. The contestants also work on a community issue that they feel passion toward as well as the national platform of Children's Miracle Network. The young women who participate in this non-profit\, volunteer based program have compassion\, conviction\, and character. they dedicate countless hours of community service to their platform projects.
