\nOn Saturday\, August 2^nd the Merrimac Community Festival will be held again at Merrimac&rsquo\;s Memorial Park. \; New to the festival this year is music provided by the Flip City Live Band from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm. \;

\nThe band has five talented\, solid musicians and outrageously fun characters playing radio favorites that span the last six decades. \; \; If you love to dance or just listen to hot music\, you will love Flip City Live.
\n \;
\nFestival events from 8am to 8pm will include fun for all ages including a kids&rsquo\; super-hero fun run and kids&rsquo\; activity tent\, arts\, crafts and food vendors\, water ski shows\, \; a chicken barbeque\, a raffle\, beverage tent\, horseshoe pitching\, the hilarious &ldquo\;chicken drop&rdquo\; game\, and a pork barbeque. \; Proceeds from the festival go to the Merrimac Parks Fund to expand and improve the village&rsquo\;s parks.
