SUMMARY:Let's Get Green and Growing
DESCRIPTION:Columbia County Master Gardener Association is making final plans for our 5th annual Field Day\, "Let's Get Green and Growing" on Saturday\, March 16. We changed the format last year\, adding more speakers and vendors\, and the response was terrific! We had nearly 100 gardeners attend the event and it was obvious that we outgrew the space. This year\, we are moving the event to PARDEEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL where we will have considerably more space for vendors and 16 presenters. Tables are provided for vendors.\n\n\n\nWe hope you will consider participating AT NO COST as a vendor at the Field Day. All vendors last year were very pleased with the opportunity to have direct contact with gardeners and homeowners with a wide range of interests\, from annuals and perennials\, garden tools and equipment\, attracting birds and beneficial insects\, and turf improvement. \n\n\n\nWe will open the doors for vendors at 8:30 am\, and to the general public at 9:30\, with the first of four break-out sessions starting at 10:00 a.m. Vendors should remain set up until 1:30 pm\, giving Field Day attendees a chance to browse and shop after the first breakout session\, and during the 45 minute lunch break\, and again after the 12:30 1:15 lunch break. Columbia County Master Gardener Association will provide a coupon for the lunch concession (provided by Pardeeville FFA) for each vendor. \n\n\n\nWe will have drawings for door prizes and would be happy to accept a donation from your business to offer as a door prize (garden tool\, coupon for perennial\, bag of potting soil\, lawn mower blade sharpening\, etc). \n\n\n	Topics to be covered during the break-out sessions include garden pests\, turf grass recovery\, seed harvesting\, composting\, deep mulching\, heirloom varieties\, fruit and vegetable perennials\, solar greenhouses\, floral arranging\, waterfalls and ponds\, trees\, beekeeping\, new annuals and perennials\, and organic solutions. \n\n	\n\n	As you probably know\, gardeners are an optimistic and enthusiastic group and we expect that by March 16\, they will be primed for looking at products related to gardening and landscaping. May we count on you to join us for the day? \n\n	\n\n	If you have questions\, please contact me at 608-742-1445.\n\n	Jane Considine\n\n	Columbia County Master Gardener volunteer
