She has been in the healing arts since 1990\, and has taught workshops nationwide. In 2006\, her life trajectory was abruptly shifted when she was diagnosed with rectal cancer. Through her experience with cancer\, a new voice emerged: that of a writer and poet. Her latest book\, Fire & Ash: The Alchemy of Cancer\, spans seven years of healing from cancer\, and encompasses the wisdom gained throughout her life. Her greatest wish is for Fire & Ash to open a conversation acknowledging that we are all connected to each other through our shared human experience of love\, joy\, suffering and death.
