SUMMARY:Concert in the Park & Fourth Of July Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join us for some great summer music at the Portage Concert in the Park and Independence Day Celebration.  Bring your lawn chair to Pauquette Park (corner of  Hwy 33 and Pierce Street) and spend an evening listening to great music.  Enjoy a cold treat of Culver's Custard and Pepsi products during the performances. Portage Cab Company will provide shuttle service from Market Square to Pauquette Park from 5:30 to end of event.\n\n	\n\n	The day includes a parade at 4pm\, the Annual Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra Concert in the Park at 7pm followed by local Portage musician Madison Malone and fireworks over the Wisconsin River at 9:30pm.\n\n	\n\n	4pm Parade Route: Beginning at the corner of River St. and Summit St. heading south on Summit St. to W. Conant St.\, past Pauquette Park\, finishing at the corner of Armstrong and W. Conant St.\n\n	The Portage Lions will once again be collecting eyeglasses on the parade route.\n\n	\n\n	Register a parade entry! Click here.\n\n	 \n\n	5:15pm - Members of the UW Marching Band courtesy of AMPI will give a smaller version of their  ?Fifth Quarter? performance at Pauquette Park following the parade\, lasting approximately 15-20 minutes.\n\n	\n\n	7pm - The Concert in the Park is an annual free event in which the Chamber of Commerce brings the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra to play at Pauquette Park.   The theme for the Concert this year is Fairytales and Fables.  You will hear songs from Sleeping Beauty\, The Magic Toy Shop\, Peter and the Wolf and Cinderella's Waltz.  Our guest artist for the night playing violin is David Cao\, the winner of the Young Artist Competition.  \n\n	Enjoy the music and save room for some Culver?s custard and Pepsi products to enjoy that night.\n\n	\n\n	8:30pm ? Local Musician Madison Malone will take the stage and entertain us until the start of the fireworks.  \n\n	9:30pm ?
