SUMMARY:Community Stakeholder Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Portage Community School District is committed to continually improving opportunities for our students.  Many opportunities for growth can only be found in the classrooms when students are in attendance.  \n\nIt only makes sense that the more students are in our classrooms\, the greater chance students will have to grow academically.  Similar to other healthy habits\, regular attendance is a habit that is ingrained throughout a student's career.  \n\nOn Thursday\, July 20th\, the Portage Community School District is holding a community stakeholder meeting to discuss how we can support students and their families to increase attendance. \n\nIt is our hope that that this meeting creates new structures to not only increase student attendance\, but also encourage lifelong skills that will serve students well in their lives beyond their education. \n\nWhether you are a parent or an employer\, we would encourage you to share your ideas.  The meeting will be held at Portage High School in the commons area at 6:30 PM.
