SUMMARY:Columbia County K9 Unit Golf Outing
DESCRIPTION:The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is holding a K9 Unit Fundraiser\, which will take place June 20th\, 2015 at Kestrel Ridge in Columbus. This fundraiser will be in the form of a golf outing and raffle with silent auction. Doors open at 8:30am and golfing to follow at 10am. \n\n\n\nWe try to deter crime and also show our younger generations that a healthy life style is a much better choice for life. The K9 unit could benefit from donations\, hole prize(s)\, and/or raffle item(s). We expect approximately 200 attendees.\n\n\n\nWe have a goal of raising $15\,000.00 and we need the support for this great cause.\n\n\n\nCurrently our K9 unit is comprised of 2 multi-purpose K9s named "Maverick" & "Recon". Our K9s patrol and work cases in all communities because the local police departments do not have their own K9 programs (except Wisconsin Dells Police & soon to be Portage Police). Our K9s work on a daily basis conducting searches/tracks and detecting illicit drugs. Our K9s have also searched for missing at-risk adults and children. These K9s are utilized at many public/community events such as Humane Society Adopt-a-Thon\, drug education presentations\, and school presentations. Our K9 unit is also instrumental in school sniffs for illegal drugs in an effort to keep our local children safe and work towards a drug-free environment/community. Besides the community and drug aspects\, our K9s also search for and apprehend violent suspects who are potential threats towards the community and law enforcement.\n\n\n\n100% of all proceeds from this event will go directly to our K9 fund to pay for future K9s\, equipment\, vet bills & training. I want to thank you in advance for any assistance you provide. Please join us at this fundraiser.\n\n\n\nSponsor Form - shows sponsorship levels (hole sponsors) and prize/raffle item donations.\n\nParticipant Form - for the foursomes or individuals who wish to golf. \n\nDonation Form - individuals and businesses to complete and support the fundraiser.
