DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, December 8th\, from 6 to 9pm\, the Agency House hosts its annual holiday fundraising gala. Guests of "Christmas at the Kinzies" will enjoy a nostalgic night of good food\, hearty drink\, and excellent conversation. Musical entertainment will be provided by local favorites\, the Cheddar Chicks\, six women singing acapella versions of your favorite traditional and contemporary holiday tunes. \n\n \n\nThe evening's Silent Auction will again offer a variety of memory-making experiences and unique items.  The featured package is "Baraboo Behind the Scenes\," which includes tours of the Circus World Museum archives (where the popular book Water for Elephants was researched) and the meticulously restored House of Seven Gables\, recently featured in the book Wisconsin's Own: Twenty Remarkable Houses. Other items include one-of-a-kind collectibles such as a vintage Winnebago basket and an assortment of Wedgwood and Staffordshire peices. For a full listing of Silent Auction items\, contact director Destinee Udelhoven at 742-6362. Pre-bidding by phone is allowed\, with reserve prices set on all auction items. \n\n \n\nAll proceeds from the event will assist in the continued preservation and operation of the Historic Indian Agency House. Tickets are $25 per person ($20 for members of the Agency House Supporters group) and are available at the Portage Chamber of Commerce and the Mercantile on Main Street.
