DESCRIPTION:The Portage Area Chamber of Commerce is offering another way to network with your fellow Chamber members and make those important connections that can help you in your business or career. Bring your business cards\, brochures\, or anything you wish to share with other members.\n\n \n\n\nLuncheon Information\n\nSpeaker: Jack Harkins\, CEO of Jack Harkins Leadership Development Corporation.\n\nHis presentation will give us some insight on how great organizations manage people and how they attract and retain quality employees.  He puts a straightforward\, common sense structure in place\, to give people the tools to become great leaders and managers.  He offers more than three decades of proven success in business\, industry\, and non-profit organization leadership.\n\n\n\nJack grew up in Portage\, graduated from PHS in 1979 and received an Economics degree from UW-Madison. He became VP of Lending for a $500 million bank and GM of Operations for the 2nd largest auto salvage company in North America. In 2007 he founded the Harkins LDC\, where he does leadership development and strategic consulting. Jack is also a frequent guest lecturer at UW Business School campuses throughout Wisconsin. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, he started the Captain's Academy\, where he works with high school and college athletic programs and at-risk youth.
