DESCRIPTION:The Portage Area Chamber of Commerce is offering another way to network with your fellow Chamber members. The Chamber is offering a monthly Business Luncheon to help our members make those important connections that can help you in your business or career. Each month the luncheon will be at a different location and catered by a local member. Bring your business cards\, brochures\, or anything you wish to share with other members. Todd has been President of the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance (WISTAX) since 1994. Now in its 78th year\, WISTAX is a privately funded and widely respected nonpartisan organization dedicated to improving government through public policy research and citizen education. Todd will be talking with us about the 2009-11 state budget\, state finances: current and what is yet to come\, taxes and expenditures (e.g. K12\, Medicaid\, Higher ed\, and Corrections) and the WI economy and how it compares nationally  We encourage Chamber members to attend this informational luncheon.
