SUMMARY:Annual Hoop Shoot
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 14\, the Portage Elks Lodge #675 will be hosting the Annual Hoop Shoot for boys and girls in three age divisions: 8-9\; 10-11\; and 12-13.\n\n \n\nThe day's events will be held at John Muir Middle School in Portage with registration at 8am and running approximately until noon.\n\n \n\nFormer Hoop Shoot Champion and current Elks member\, Justin Ostrowski\, will be leading the activities for the free-throw competition.\n\n \n\nOstrowski\, a local Portage resident\, also serves as the Portage High School Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach.\n\n \n\nBirthday cut-off for each age division is April 1\, 2016.\n\n \n\nWinners in each age division (boy & girl) will advance to the State District tournament in Beaver Dam\, WI in January.  Winners from the District Tournament will advance to the state finals in Wausau\, February 12-14\, 2016 and state winners will advance to the Regional Championships in Iowa City\, IA March 17-20\, 2016 and winners from Regionals will advance to the National Finals in Springfield\, MA April 13-17\, 2016.\n\n \n\nPlease contact Justin Ostrowski 608-617-7235 with any questions.
